Those interested in participating in MIGS are asked to submit their application no later than April 24, 2009. Complete attached questionnaire.

Presentations last approximately 60 minutes and are followed by a Q&A. Submissions should align with one of the following 6 conference tracks: Art, Business, Design, Production, Technology and Serious Games.

To provide quality content that meets the expectations of organizers and participants, the MIGS Advisory Board, comprised of experienced professionals, will review all submissions.

Conference: Planning for the Future?
We have just come to terms with our fifth generation of games machines, so given the break-neck speed of this industry, do we need to start bracing ourselves for the next one?

With each generation, predictions have been about right in terms of the obvious performance and storage improvements, but generally we get the emphasis wrong – many presumed that online was the main ‘big thing’ that would define the fifth generation, but most likely it has been Nintendo’s great controller innovations.

This talk will look at the big changes that might colour the sixth generation, including new business models, and how Frontier has been planning for the future with its current range of titles, including LostWinds and The Outsider.

What does David Braben see in his crystal ball?
Frontier Developments’ David Braben from the UK will be one of the four marquee keynotes at this year’sSummit. An active and outspoken advocate of the video game industry in the UK, Mr. Braben will analyze recent and upcoming technological trends and the implementation of new business models, as well as offer his predictions for sixth generation consoles in a session entitled Planning for the Future?.

A showcase for Quebec and Canadian expertise
The fifth edition of the Summit will also highlight Quebec and Canadian creative talent in the video game industry. More than twenty high-profile Quebec and Canadian speakers will be on hand this year.
